To us at the Delhi Public School, education is not just about teaching. It’s about learning, discovering and finding inspiration in everything around us. The curriculum is based on CBSE directives. All aspects of academics are taken care of with due emphasis on- Interactive learning, Collaborative learning, Blended learning, Spaced learning, Experiential learning, Multi-disciplinary approach and many more.
The curriculum gives students a balance of theoretical and practical knowledge that facilitates a learning environment where students learn, analyze and apply rather than merely know. Our curriculum is designed in such a way that it creates an environment where students not only learn academically, but also imbibe lessons of life, character, ethics and values emerging as responsible global citizens.
In order to enhance the exposure to technology and create a path to a new world of innovation and creativity, our curriculum aims at being at par with the changing dynamics by including Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Coding.
Along with academic pursuits, a child’s communicative and writing skills are honed through Public Speaking and Creative Writing. Our curriculum is designed in such a way that it is concept-oriented and not just exam-oriented, keeping in mind the overall qualitative development of a child. Our strength lies in maintaining completeness of programmes, each of which evaluate and their capabilities, and ensure they grow to their greatest potential.
At the heart of the school’s distinctive and transformative curriculum lies the philosophy of global perspectives. The curriculum followed at Delhi Public School Dibrugarh is outcome-led, enquiry-based and future-oriented with thematic units that form exiting and stimulating links between Social Sciences and Art subjects.
The curriculum is based on the foundation of a clear and easy-to-follow frame work and an assessment for learning programme. It is complemented by an online tracking tool, which allows assessments to be recorded, analyzed and used to report a child’s skills. This curriculum helps us instill in the students, and international way of thinking, to develop their personal learning goals, key qualities and attributes.
We have also developed an Early Years Programme to introduce children, to a transdisciplinary, thematic and engaging approach towards learning and to foster the early introduction of international-mindedness.
